We all know the feeling of opening up our latest gas bill and cringing at the number – doesn’t it always feel like you’re paying too much? Well, you might be. With so many gas companies out there all charging varying amounts for their provisions, there’s bound to be some that are cheaper than your current provider – and that means you could be paying less.
One of the good things about switching to a cheaper gas supplier is that you shouldn’t notice a difference to your service. It’s not like switching from luxury items to the cheap but poor quality stuff – gas is gas, and if you want to pay less for yours then the only thing that’s going to change is how much you pay and who you pay it to, not the physical product you receive.
Because of this, switching your gas and electricity supplier is one of the best ways to save on household bills. It’s not the same as switching to cheaper versions of your other bills; for example, if you switched to cheaper TV services you might lose some services, or if you switched to cheaper internet your connection might slow down and grant you a lower usage volume (which only ends up incurring extra charges, so it’s wise to stick with unlimited broadband if that’s what you’ve got!) – you’ll keep getting gas supplied to your home and all that will be different is the price you pay and the company you contact for account queries.
