Great Reasons to Visit Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay is one of the most famous areas you can visit in Florida. Situated on the western side of Florida, it has plenty of attractions and things to see and do packed into the area. In fact, if you are looking for a place to base yourself in while you are in the Sunshine State, you couldn’t do much better than to pick Tampa.




So what is there to do in the region while you are there?




Well for starters, you’ve got Busch Gardens. You’ll need at least one whole day to explore everything this theme park has to offer because it packs a lot in. With roller coasters slotted in between lots of different animals, Busch Gardens provides you with the obligatory thrills and spills as well as showing you a wilder side of Florida.




If you want something a little more unusual to do while you are in the area, watch out for Spook Hill. This is best seen when you are en route to somewhere else, because it requires a car and a couple of minutes of experimentation.




The legend has it that the hill is haunted, because if you position yourself on the line painted in the road and slip the car out of gear, it will roll uphill on its own. Some say it is an illusion while others are convinced that ghosts are responsible. Whatever you may think, Spook Hill is certainly worth a quick look.

Once you’ve rolled ‘up’ the hill a couple of times you might want to drive over to see Bok Tower Gardens. It doesn’t matter what day of the week you decide to do this because it is open literally the whole year round. The Tower itself has several levels and was built in an art deco style. This makes it truly stunning to see and very attractive too. Equally as attractive are the gardens which surround the Tower. There is a spot here for everyone to enjoy, no matter what kind of gardens you ordinarily tend to like.




Finally, if you would like to spend some time shopping while you are in Tampa Bay, why not head to St Petersburg and the nearby Bay Walk area? This has countless different shops to browse around, and when you get tired and need some more energy you can stop for dinner at one of the restaurants as well.
